Bioactivity Antibacterial agent 233 (Compound 7c) exhibits inhibitory efficacy against Helicobacter pylori with MIC of 0.4-1.6 μg/mL. Antibacterial agent 233 inhibits jack bean urease (IC50 is 0.27 μg/mL), changes the permeability of H. pylori cell membrane, causes the leakage of cellular contents. Antibacterial agent 233 exhibits metabolic stability in whole blood and artificial gastric fluid. Antibacterial agent 233 exhibits antitumor efficacy against U2OS in mice[1].
