Bioactivity | W-2429 (NSC294836) is considerably more effective than acetylsalicylic acid in inhibiting carrageenan-induced edema and in reducing brewer's yeast-induced fever in rats[2]. |
In Vivo | W-2429 is a non-narcotic analgesic agent. Treatment with W-2429 is well tolerated by rats as well as dogs. In the dog, the only signs of toxicity observed are decreased appetite and salivation at 100 mg/kg/day W-2429. No other significant evidence of physical, chemical, gross or histopathologic change is observed[1]. |
