Bioactivity | Tetromycin A is a tetronic acid-based antibiotic. It reportedly has pronounced activity against Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant S. aureus. Related tetromycin derivatives have been found to have anti-trypanosomal activity and inhibit the cysteine protease cathepsin L with Ki values in the low micromolar range. |
