Bioactivity PKI(5-22)amide is the active inhibitory fragment of the inhibitor of the cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA). PKI(5-22)amide inhibits PKA activation, but fails to attenuate homologous desensitization of CRF1 receptors[1][2].
Invitro PKI(5-22)amide (1 μM; 1 min) fails to block CRF1 receptor (100 nM; 30 min) desensitization in Y-79 cells permeabilized with Streptolysin O (HY-135416)[1].
