Bioactivity | PBA-AMF can be activated by H2O2 to release Amonafide (AMF) (HY-10982). PBA-AMF selectively inhibited the proliferation of breast cancer cells, while sparing non-cancerous cells. PBA-AMF inhibits tumor proliferation by inhibiting DNA synthesis, reducing ATP levels, inducing apoptosis, and arresting the cell cycle. PBA-AMF can be used for research of tumors and other diseases associated with increased H2O2 levels[1]. |
