Bioactivity Ioxaglate sodium (P-286 sodium) is an ionic, dimeric diagnostic contrast agent whose activity is mainly reflected in its ability to provide sufficient X-ray absorption to enhance visualization of blood vessels and other structures during imaging. Ioxaglate sodium is used to study the anatomical structure and functional status of cardiac vessels, especially in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease[1].
