Bioactivity HSV-60mer sodium is a 60 bp double-stranded oligonucleotide containing viral DNA motifs that derive from the herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) genome[1]. Transfected HSV-60 has been shown to potently induce IFN-β in a Toll-like receptor (TLR)-, DNA-dependent activator of IRFs (DAI)-, and RNA polymerase III (Pol III)-independent, but STING-, TBK1- and IFN regulatory factor 3 (IRF3)-dependent manner.
