| Bioactivity | Cyclic L27-11 is a cyclic peptide-like antibiotic with strong antibacterial activity against specific bacteria such as Pseudomonas sp. Cyclic L27-11 shows nanomolar antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas sp., especially Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Cyclic L27-11 interferes with the function of bacterial outer membrane protein LptD, preventing the normal transport of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), leading to the accumulation of membrane-like substances in bacterial cells, which in turn affects the survival of bacteria. Cyclic L27-11 can be used in the development of antibacterial agents[1]. |
