Bioactivity Cromakalim is a potassium channel opener. Cromakalim can be used as a bronchodilator in asthma. Cromakalim inhibits the spontaneous tone of human isolated bronchi in a concentration-related manner being nearly as effective as isoprenaline or theophylline[1].
