Bioactivity | Bitis Caudalis Venom (Horned Adder Venom) is a snake venom that can be obtained from Bitis Caudalis. Bitis Caudalis Venom extract (Caudoxin) can produce a neuromuscular block. Snake venom is a complex mixture of small molecules and peptides/proteins with neurotoxic, cytotoxic, cardiotoxic, muscular toxic, and various enzyme activities. A series of studies have found that snake venom toxins also exert antitumor, antibacterial, anticoagulant and analgesic activities[1][2]. |
