Bioactivity Avenanthramide-C methyl ester is an anti-inflammatory agent and NF-κB inhibitor that inhibits the secretion of pro-inflammatory factors. Avenanthramide-C methyl ester inhibits NF-κB activation by inhibiting IKK and IκB phosphorylation and inhibiting proteasome activity[1].
