Bioactivity 5-trans-PGE2 (5-trans Prostaglandin E2) is the active isomer of PGE2 and a potent activator of aromatase. Supplements the process of paracrine signaling between epithelial cells (expressing high levels of PGE2) and surrounding stromal cells (expressing high levels of aromatase). This process is involved in the growth and development of breast cancer[1].
