Bioactivity 2-Methoxyhydroquinone is a phenolic compound that reduces TNF-α-induced production of chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2) with an IC50 value of 64.3 µM. 2-Methoxyhydroquinone is also a precursor in the synthesis of the Hsp90 inhibitor Geldanamycin (HY-15230)[1][2].
