Biological Activity


ln Vivo EA-230 (30–50 mg/kg; intraperitoneal; twice daily for four days) reduces loss of renal function following kidney transplantation and enhances the mouse model of renal allograft ischemia/reperfusion damage (IRI) and ischemia-induced delayed graft function survival rate [1].
Animal Protocol Animal/Disease Models: Male C57Bl/6 mouse, ischemia-reperfusion injury model [1]
Doses: 20, 30, 40 or 50 mg/kg
Route of Administration: intraperitoneal (ip) injection, twice a day for four days
Experimental Results: Significant improvement survival rate. When doses were between 30 and 50 mg/kg, survival rates reached 56-62%, while treatment at the lower dose of 20 mg/kg did not produce a beneficial effect. Dramatically increased renal blood flow (RBF), attenuated CTGF upregulation, enhanced tubular epithelial cell regeneration, and attenuated TGF-β activation.

Example: Take the Oral Formulation 1 (Suspend in 0.5% CMC Na) as an example, if 100 mL of 2.5 mg/mL working solution is to be prepared, you can first prepare 0.5% CMC Na solution by measuring 0.5 g CMC Na and dissolve it in 100 mL ddH2O to obtain a clear solution; then add 250 mg of the product to 100 mL 0.5% CMC Na solution, to make the suspension solution (2.5 mg/mL, ready for use in animals).
