Diethylnorspermine 4HCl (DENSPM, BE-333), the tetrahydrochloride salt of Diethylnorspermine, is a potent inducer of spermidine/spermine N1-acetyltransferase, which is a polyamine catabolic enzyme. It is a polyamines analog that is able to induce cell cycle arrest, inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis in melanoma, breast, prostate, lung and colon cancer cells.
