Description Elamipretide Triacetate (Elamipretide TriTFA) is an aromatic-cationic tetrapeptide that readily penetrates cell membranes and transiently localizes to the inner mitochondrial membrane where it associates with cardiolipin.It has been used in trials studying the treatment of Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy.
