Bioactivity ZD0947 is an ATP-sensitive potassium channel activator with relatively effective activation of smooth muscle KATP channels (SUR2B/Kir6.1 and SUR2B/Kir6.2). ZD0947 partially antagonizes pancreatic KATP channels (SUR1/Kir6.2) and cardiac KATP channels (SUR2A/Kir6.2). ZD0947 is potentially used to inhibit overactive bladder (OAB)[1].
