Bioactivity Warfarin sodium (WARF-42 sodium; Athrombine-K sodium) is a potent anticoagulant agent and a vitamin K1 recycling antagonist to deplete active vitamin K1. Warfarin sodium decreases blood coagulation and prevents blood clot formation by inhibiting vitamin K epoxide reductase[1][2].
