Bioactivity | Volazocine is a potent, orally active agonist with anesthetic-antagonist properties. It can be prepared by two independent synthetic routes: one by nitration and subsequent reduction of volazocine and the other by dissolution metal reduction of cyclazocine methyl ether followed by oximation and Semmler-Wolff rearrangement sequence. Several analogs have also been prepared and tested[1]. |
