Bioactivity Udenafil-d7 is the deuterium labeled Udenafil. Udenafil (DA8159) is a potent, selective and orally active phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. Udenafil also inhibits cGMP hydrolysis and can be used for erectile dysfunction research[1][2].
Invitro Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs[1].
