Bioactivity | Totrombopag (SB-559448) choline is an orally effective thrombopoietin receptor (TpoR) agonist. By activating TpoR, Totrombopag choline initiates an intracellular signaling cascade mediated by JAK2 kinase and the transcription factor Stat5, a signaling process that is the primary mechanism regulating megakaryocyte growth and differentiation into platelets. Totrombopag choline can be used to study platelet production and megakaryocyte biology[1]. |
