Bioactivity Theasaponin E1 is a tea saponin isolated from tea seeds. Theasaponin E1 exhibits potential antitumor activity against human tumor cell lines K562 and HL60. Theasaponin E1 also has quinone reductase (QR)-inducing activity and can act as an anti-tumor agent for cancer prevention[1].
