Bioactivity Tamarixetin 3-O-β-d-apiofuranosyl-(1 → 2)-β-d-galactopyranoside (compound 4) is an inhibitor of collagenase and elastase with potential anti-inflammatory activity. Tamarixetin 3-O-β-d-apiofuranosyl-(1 → 2)-β-d-galactopyranoside can be isolated from the methanol extract of the Balkan endemic species Astragalus thracicus Griseb.[3][1].
