Bioactivity | TP-808 is an intermediate used in tetracycline antibiotic synthesis with antimicrobial activity. TP-808 binds to the 30S ribosome subunit of the bacteria, preventing aminoacyl-trNA from entering the A site, thereby inhibiting the extension of the protein chain.
