Bioactivity Stearic acid-PEG-amine, MW 2000 is an amphiphilic PEG polymer which forms micelles in an aqueous solution. The terminal amine can react with an NHS ester to form a stable amide linkage. The aliphatic chain of stearic acid can be used to encapsulate or congregate hydrophobic therapeutic agents while the PEG chain enhances overall solubility of the polymer. Reagent grade, for research use only.
