Bioactivity Squalane-d62 is the deuterium labeled Squalane[1]. Squalane, found in certain fish oils (especially shark liver oil), and some vegetable oils, is a saturated derivative of Squalene. Squalane shows anticancer, antioxidant, skin hydrating, and emollient activities[2].
Invitro Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs[1].
