Bioactivity Sekikaic acid is an α-glucosidase (Glucosidase) and α-amylase (Amylases) inhibitor with hypolipidemic, antioxidant and antidiabetic activities. Sekikaic acid significantly reduces LDL, total cholesterol, and total glyceride levels and causes pancreatic beta cell regeneration[1].
