Bioactivity Sedecamycin is an antibiotic, which exhibits antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria. Sedecamycin inhibits Treponema hyodysenteriae, with MIC of 0.78 to 12.5 µg/ml. Sedecamycin exhibits protective and therapeutic effect against the swine dysentery in mouse models[1].
