| Bioactivity | Sapurimycin is an antitumor antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces DO-116 and belongs to the capramycin family. Sapurimycin exhibits potent activity against Gram-positive bacteria and exhibits significant antitumor effects against leukemia P388 and sarcoma 180 in mouse models. In vitro studies have shown that Sapurimycin can induce single-strand breaks in supercoiled plasmid DNA[1]. |
