| Bioactivity | Sanggenon C is a flavanone Diels-Alder adduct compound, which is isolated from Cortex Mori (Sang Bai Pi). Sanggenon C exerts protective effects against cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis via suppression of the calcineurin/NFAT2 pathway. Sanggenon C inhibits inducible nitric oxide synthase expression in RAW264.7 cells, and tumor necrosis factor-α-stimulated cell adhesion and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 expression, by suppressing NF-κB activity[1]. Sanggenon C possesses antioxidant, anti-inflammatory activities and inhibits Pancreatic lipase (PL) with the an IC50 of 3.00 μM[2]. |
