Bioactivity | Sanfetrinem (GV104326) is a tricyclic beta-lactam (trinem) antibiotic. Sanfetrinem exerts its antibacterial effect by binding to the bacteria's penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) to inhibit cell wall synthesis. Sanfetrinem has a wide range of antibacterial activities against a variety of Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and multidrug-resistant enterococcus. Sanfetrinem can be used in the study of its effect on drug-resistant bacteria and the mechanism of bacterial resistance to Sanfetrinem[1]. |
