Bioactivity Resolvin D3 (RvD3) is a docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) derived mediator. Resolvin D3 is dysregulated in arthritis and reduces arthritic inflammation[1][2].
Invitro RvD3 (RvD3; 10 nM) significantly inhibits tumor necrosis factor-α–induced NF-κB activation in A549 epithelial cells[2].
In Vivo Resolvin D3 (RvD3; 100 ng/100 µl; IP; daily for 6 days) alleviates arthritis progression, reduces edema and limits leukocyte numbers in murine K/BxN-serum induced arthritis[1]. Animal Model:
