Bioactivity | Pseudouridimycin TFA is an antibiotic and a selective bacterial RNA polymerase (RNAP) inhibitor with an IC50 of approximately 0.1 μM and a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 4 - 6 μg/mL. Pseudouridimycin TFA is a C-nucleoside analog that is active against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Pseudouridimycin TFA inhibits bacterial growth in vitro and is active in a mouse peritonitis model of infection with Streptococcus pyogenes. |
