Bioactivity | Pomisartan is an orally active angiotensin II receptor type AT1 antagonist (IC50=0.26 μM). Pomisartan works by inhibiting the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, thereby blocking the vasoconstriction and aldosterone release caused by this interaction. Pomisartan results in a blood pressure-lowering effect[1]. |
