Bioactivity PIPES (1,4-Piperazinediethanesulfonic acid) disodium is an important component of PIPES buffer agent used in biochemistry[1].
Invitro To prepare the pH PIPES buffer, 173 g of 1,4-piperazinediethanesulfonic acid are dissolved into 1 L of deionized water. The pH of the PIPES buffer is adjusted to 6.8 by adding pellets of sodium hydroxide.PIPES disodium can be used to PIPES buffer, it can prevent the glutaraldehyde fixation induced lipid loss and artifacts[1].
