Bioactivity | Nidulin is a depsidone isolated from a marine fungus Aspergillus unguis. Nidulin shows antifungal and antibacterial against pathogenetic strains, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans with inhibition zones of 9.5 mm, 9.0 mm and 9.0 mm, respectively. Nidulin exhibits potent larvicidality against brine shrimp[1]. |
