Bioactivity | Nafithromycin (WCK 4873) is an orally available antibiotic that inhibits community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, and Methicillin (HY-121544)-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus. The MIC90 of nafithromycin against macrolide-resistant and telithromycin (HY-A0062)-insensitive Streptococcus pneumoniae is 0.12 mg/liter[1]. |
