Bioactivity NW-1172 (free base) (compound 22b) is a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist with performance-enhancing activity in a delayed matching task in monkeys, with the (R) isomer producing more systematic improvements than the (S) isomer, a difference paralleled by the higher affinity of the (R) enantiomer for the 5-HT3 receptor.
