Bioactivity MS7 is a potent inhibitor of nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT). NAMPT is the rate-limiting enzyme in the NAD+ biosynthetic pathway, responsible for converting nicotinamide to nicotinamide mononucleotide, which is then converted to NAD+. NAMPT is overexpressed in many cancer cells to meet the continuous replenishment of NAD+ required for rapid proliferation. PROTAC A7, a derivative of MS7, is an effective NAMPT degrader. MS7 can be used in cancer research[1].
