Bioactivity | Levamlodipine hydrochloride ((S)-Amlodipine hydrochloride; Levoamlodipine hydrochloride) is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. Levamlodipine hydrochloride reduces the inflow of calcium ions by blocking L-type calcium channels on vascular smooth muscle cells, thereby leading to vasodilation, lower blood pressure and lighten the burden on the heart. Levamlodipine hydrochloride has activity to lower blood pressure and relieve angina. The binding properties of Levamlodipine hydrochloride to human serum albumin (HSA) contribute to the study of drug transport and release mechanisms in the body[1]. |
