Bioactivity LeuRS-IN-2 (Compound 9) is a Wolbachia leucyl-tRNA synthetase (LeuRS) inhibitor in the presence of adenosine monophosphate (AMP) with an EC50 value of 6 nM, efficiently arresting the growth of pathogenic host. LeuRS-IN-2 forms adenosine-based adducts inhibiting protein synthesis, which is promising for research of new antimicrobials with disrupting microbiota[1].
