Bioactivity Lactoferrin is a substance released by neutrophils. Lactoferrin is an orally active multifunctional iron binding glycoprotein. Lactoferrin prevents cell adhesion, growth and spreading of cell colonies. Lactoferrin also has antiviral activity and inhibits microbial and viral adhesion and entry into host cells. Besides, Lactoferrin has anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and anti-cancer activities[1][2][3].
Invitro Lactoferrin (0-1 000 μg/mL,7 天) 以剂量依赖性方式抑制上皮细胞 (HaCaT) 生长[1]。Lactoferrin (500 μg/mL,12 天) 抑制 HaCaT 细胞集落的扩散和生长[1]。Lactoferrin (人或牛乳铁蛋白,1.41 μM 和 0.12 μM)可抑制 Vero 细胞中的 HSV-1 感染达 50%[4]。
In Vivo Lactoferrin (重组人乳铁蛋白) (1,000 mg/kg,口服灌胃,每天两次,持续 8 天) 可抑制 80% 的 T 细胞免疫功能低下的 nu/nu 小鼠鳞状细胞癌 (O12) 肿瘤的生长[5] 。Lactoferrin (牛乳铁蛋白) (100 和 200 mg/kg,口服灌胃,连续 30 天) 对败血症诱发的急性肺损伤大鼠模型显示出保护作用[6]。 Animal Model:
