Bioactivity Isobutyryl coenzyme A lithium salt (Quin 2,tetrapotassium salt) is a kind of Coenzyme A. Coenzyme A acts as an acyl carrier, namely acetyl-CoA. Isobutyryl-CoA (IB-CoA) is a short-chain branched acyl-CoA that provides the starting unit for myxalamid B biosynthesis. Isobutyryl-CoA was used as a substrate to study the specificity and kinetics of isobutyryl-CoA (CoA) mutase (EC 5.4.99.13).
