| Bioactivity | Ilepatril, a vasopeptidase inhibitor, was investigated in obese Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rats as a dual inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme and neutral endopeptidase for treating Type 2 diabetic nephropathy. Despite stable diabetes (HbA1c >12%), Ilepatril significantly reduced albuminuria in a dose-dependent manner compared to placebo.
