Bioactivity Hexa-N-acetylchitohexaose is an inducer of disease resistance in crop plants, which could elicit an increase of lignification-related and antioxidative enzymes in soybean plants. Hexa-N-acetylchitohexaose is a substrate of lysozyme. Hexa-N-acetylchitohexaose shows antitumor effect[1][2][3].
In Vivo On sarcoma 180 solid tumor in ddY mice using lentinan, an antitumorβ-D-glucan, as the positive control. Hexa-N-acetylchitohexaose (100 mg/kg/day; 3 times; intravenous ) significantly inhibits the growth of this allogenic solid tumor, affording a high tumor growth-inhibition ratio (85%) at 7 days after tumor implantation[3].
