Bioactivity | Gilvocarcin M is an antibiotic and can be isolated from S. gilvotanareus. Gilvocarcin M is active against S. aureus at a concentration of 32 µg/ml and inhibits growth of KB cells with the IC50 of 0.52 µg/ml. Gilvocarcin M intercalates into bacteriophage PM2 DNA[1][2][3][4]. |
