| Bioactivity | Fortimicin C is an antibiotic, which can be isolated from Micromonospora olivoasterospora. Fortimicin C exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, inhibits Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella typhosa and Serratia marcescens, with MICs of 0.16-0.64 mcg/mL. Fortimicin C is resistant against aminoglycoside inactivating enzymes[1]. |
