Bioactivity Fluconazole-d4 is the deuterium labeled Fluconazole. Fluconazole (UK-49858) is a triazole antifungal agent with excellent activities against a broad range of fungi, especially against Candida albicans. Fluconazole inhibits C. albicans and Candida kefyr with IC99s range from 0.20 μg/mL to 0.39 μg/mL[1].
Invitro Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs[1].
