Bioactivity Fingolimod-d4 is the deuterium labeled Fingolimod. Fingolimod (FTY720 free base) is a sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) antagonist with an IC50 of 0.033 nM in K562 and NK cells. Fingolimod also is a pak1 activator, a immunosuppressant[1].
Invitro Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs[1].
