Bioactivity Elcatonin (Carbocalcitonin) is a synthetic analog of eel calcitonin. Elcatonin increases bone mineral density, inhibits bone resorption and processes a central analgesic effect[1].
In Vivo Elcatonin (Carbocalcitonin) (20 U/kg; s.c.; 2 d after oxaliplatin administration) attenuats oxaliplatin-induced cold and mechanical allodynia in rats[2]. Animal Model:
